Jonny D and Gig Limitations

Whenever you play a gig, it’s always wise to thoroughly examine any limitations the venue—or in this case, the stage—might have that could impede your performance.

One time, at a venue, I attempted a guitar spin with my six-string wonder, only to forget that the roof was a mere two feet or so above my head. Needless to say, my guitar went through the roof and actually got stuck.

There’s not much you can do in a situation like that, but luckily, I had a backup plan. Thankfully, I had a spare guitar, which I used for the rest of the show while my precious beauty dangled from the ceiling.

So, players, be warned: always check your surroundings, or you might just run into an unexpected hazard.
